The U.K. Subs + Nasty Rumours at The Melkweg, Amsterdam, Netherlands on 27 May 2024.
So, the U.K. Subs / Charlie Harper’s 80th birthday tour rolled into the Melkweg in Amsterdam yesterday. Whoops, sorry it’s not a tour, just a series of almost consecutive dates nearby to each other 😉
Anyway, another brilliant gig with the excellent Nasty Rumours as support. Great to see them again opening for the UK Subs, as I saw them quite a few times as the support on the Subs’ Spring 2023 tour. Brilliant band with catchy songs that you will be humming for days after hearing them.
A lively and enthusiastic crowd were eager to show their love and respect for Charlie who was on blistering form once again. It was nice to catch up with Steve, Stefan, Stephen and Gwinny (amongst others) at Dan Murphy’s pub before the gig.
