GBH at The Exchange in Bristol on 6 January 2024.
First GBH gig of 2024 but certainly not my last (as they are one of my favourite bands on the punk rock circuit today), as they continued with their City Baby’s Revenge 40th Anniversary tour in Bristol.
I was beginning to feel that the 40th anniversary tour had been going on for at least 3 years, but then I realised that the previous tour must have been 40 years of ‘City Baby Attacked By Rats’, rather than ‘City Baby’s Revenge’. That makes me feel even older. 😉
Regular stand-in bassist Sean filled in admirably for Ross who was presumably unable to make the trip over from the States this time. But then he has been doing so on a fairly regular bassist for a while now. Nice that he acknowledged my presence in his own sweet way (see photo). 🙂 I’d seen the band 19 times in the 24 months prior to this gig and I still never get bored of them. Only a week to go before I see them again. 🙂
