The Exploited at Poppodium Iduna in Drachten, Netherlands on 1 December 2023.
The third of the ‘holy trinity’ of Punk Rock to take the stage in Drachten this evening is the one-and-only The Exploited. No other way to end such an evening than have Wattie and the guys close the show with a musical kick in the teeth. 🙂
As can be seen in the photos below, the guys all seem to be in good spirits this evening, with a smiling Wattie lightheartedly taking the piss out of certain members of the crowd from time to time (e.g. the intro to ‘Porno Slut’). One of drummer Jo’s final gigs with the band, fittingly in his home country, as he will soon be handing over the sticks to his successor and returning to his own band. Not the last we will see of him, I’m sure.
Fantastic end to a fantastic evening and unlikely that I’ll get to see 3 of my favourite punk bands on the same bill for a while. Class 🙂
