A great lineup at Rock Your Brain Festival in Sélestat, France on 21 October 2023, with the main attraction, of course being the might Exploited.
Here are some notes that I wrote down on the day following the festival:
The Godfathers: A real revelation. I saw them years ago and they didn’t really click, but last night they were brilliant 
The Lords of Altamont: Possibly the coolest looking band of the evening. 
Unfortunately, for me, the music and sound didn’t quite live up to the image.
The Exploited: I didn’t write anything down, but just put 3 hearts. I think it’s safe to say that I enjoyed their set 🙂
Grade 2: Really good trio from the Isle of Wight. It always amazes me how a bassist can play that well and sing at the same time, especially when there’s only 3 of them on stage. 
Lots of crowd activity with plenty of moshing, stage diving, and a crowd invasion at the end. Brilliant show by a brilliant band.
