The U.K. Subs + Nasty Rumours at the 100 Club in London, UK on 1 October 2023.
And that’s a wrap. A brilliant end to the UK Subs’ last ever tour, last night at the 100 Club in London and for me, UK Subs gig number 27 of the year 2023.
From the 1st to the 27th gig, the Subs have been fantastic, never letting up on the intensity of their performance. I really don’t know how Charlie does it at almost 80 years old. I’m worn out after only a handful of gigs in the past week
Thank you to Charlie, Steve, Alvin, Stefan, Yuko and Gwinny for the fun times, both at the gigs and in the pub before the gigs. Also thanks to the friends old and new, too many to name, who all helped make the gigs so enjoyable. Looking forward to the next Subs shows in 2024, as they haven’t stopped playing, just stopped touring.
Very fitting that the wonderful Nasty Rumours are support at the final gig as they were also support at the first Subs gig of the year for me in Utrecht back on 13th January. A brilliant band who are worth taking a listen to if you haven’t heard them already.
Below are a few snaps from the gig, one at which Julash, singer of Nasty Rumours actually stayed still for a moment. A handful of pix of the Subs before the front of the stage got too ‘lively’ to hold my phone camera still.
A great evening and lovely to attend the gig in the company of my son.
