Nervous Chillin’ at l’Entrepôt in Arlon, Belgium on 30 November 2024.
Local sold out gig tonight at the Entrepôt in Arlon seeing one of Down Yer Pint guitarist Gilles’ “other bands”. This time, the reformed Nervous Chillin’, originally founded in 1999, and tonight playing their first show in 15 years or so after reforming recently. The band had quite a name in the local punk rock scene in Belgium back in the day, and played dates with the likes of the Misfits, US Bombs, Slackers, Uk Subs, Exploited, etc.
Although I had heard of the band when they were originally on the scene, I didn’t know Gilles back then and I never caught NC live. So, this evening is not a nostalgia trip for me and I don’t have the fervour that some of the other people in the audience seem to have, reliving their youths. 🙂 An enjoyable and entertaining set from a very tight band who have obviously put a lot of work into their return so as not to disappoint the faithful.
