Steve Ignorant + The U.K. Subs + Deaf Devils + Cryssis at Breaking Barriers Festival in Leuven, Belgium on 19 April 2025.
Another brilliant punk rock festival today, this time a bit closer to home than normal, at Breaking Barriers in Leuven, Belgium. Highlights of the festival for me:
- Cryssis: My first time seeing Cryssis which features my mate and champion darts player (in his own head 🤣), Vom Ritchie (Die Toten Hosen) on drums . A really enjoyable set with great musicians and very catchy tunes. Will definitely see them again when I get the opportunity.
- Deaf Devils: Second time seeing these guys in the past 7 days and another completely bonkers performance. Great stuff, a must see.🤘
- UK Subs: Another belter from the Subs, with Marc (from the Bored Teenagers) on guitar this time. Thank you to Charlie for name checking me from the stage.☺️ In answer to your question Charlie : “We/You are doing just great”.👍😄
- Steve Ignorant and Band: Once again, the second time seeing Steve Ignorant and band in the past few weeks and another brilliant show. The whole band is fantastic but special mention, like last time, to Carol Hodge who has an amazing voice.
The photos get a bit more hazy as the evening wears on and the Stella Artois (Leuven is where it is brewed) takes its toll. Next festival : next weekend in Glasgow. 🙂
