The Exploited + Face Up + The Mistakes at 229 in London UK on 13 December 2024.
Final Exploited gig for me of 2024 (I am unable to make Edinburgh next week) and what a belter it is. Four bands in total, with support provided by The Mistakes, Kicked In The Teeth (no photo/review, sorry) and Face Up.
The Mistakes take to the stage first and provide a storming performance. What a way to begin an evening by one of my favourite bands of the moment!
Following Kicked In The Teeth who somewhat pass me by, it’s the turn of the amazing Face Up, another of my current favourite “young” bands. And what a performance that is too.
I’ve been really looking forward to seeing the band again since they played a matinee show in Arlon earlier this year, but this was on another level altogether. They blasted through an amazing set, with non-stop power and energy, and as tight as a duck’s arse.
Absolutely brilliant.
Last, but definitely not least, the brilliant The Exploited. A band that never put a foot wrong, Wattie and the guys are currently on fantastic form, possibly since the injection of new blood with the arrival of drummer Man. I will now doubt be seeing a lot more of them in 2025. 😉
